Jack O'Brien Profile

Jack O'Brien is the publisher of Enigma Press. Enigma is a small press by any definition, publishing between three and six new titles annually. Mr. O'Brien graduated from Proviso West High School and attended the University of Illinois, Chicago Circle, but dropped out before graduating. An avid reader and book lover, Jack looks for manuscripts that take people below the surface to explore the deeper ramifications of world cultures, philosophy, and religions.

Never married, Jack is a consummate workaholic, sometimes going well into the night to refine his latest project. He is also somewhat of a perfectionist, not just in terms of details, but also in terms of fitting the puzzle pieces of life together into a harmonius whole. He abhors contradictions, but readily acknowledges their existence.
